Perspectives for avoiding Greenhouse Gases in Germany

Abstract

The reduction of greenhouse gases to a level 30-40% below 1990 emissions is one of the key goals of the German government. There are several measures to reduce emissions that cut across all sectors of the economy, including energy production, industry, transport, buildings and agriculture/waste. The presentation will discuss some of the strategic questions companies face in the light of climate change and the work that McKinsey & Company has done in this field. But first, we would like to give you a short introduction to our company.
